Location of the house

Our house with garden is situated close to the famous place Schruns in the Montafon, in midst the mountain ranges of the Rhaetikon (Schesaplana, alt. 2965 m) and the Silvretta (Piz Buin, alt. 3312 m) which both are well-known skiing and hiking areas. From our house we have a lovely country and mountain view onto snow-covered mountain tops or green meadows where cows are grazing.

Our house is 900 m from the railway station with excellent connections in Bludenz; so if you come without motorcar or if you prefer not to drive the day's tours you can easily travel by public transport.

The village has a supermarket, a drugstore, a bakery-shop, a news agent, 2 banks, a sports-shop, an optician, 2 churches, a doctor, a dentist, a cosmetics, and massage saloons. Elegant restaurants, a pizzeria, original Gasthofe with the local flavour, as well as apres ski bars wait for you to drop by.

An outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, aqua parks, a roller coaster run (= summer tobogganing), a fitness-parcour, beautiful walking lanes along the river Ill guarantee fitness. The mountain passes behind our house lead into Switzerland, and right up to the 1950-ies they were well-used smuggle paths. Two golfing areas in the Montafon, well-kept cycle routes and mountain bike tracks and well-marked hiking and climbing areas as well as any kind of winter-activities like alpine or cross country skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing or snow-shoe hiking won't make boredom rise! Nordic walking paths are right behind our house. Imagine your enjoying romantic horse-sleighing!

The cable car up the Golm (2100 m) is 1200 m from our home and takes you to the “Anita Wachter World Cup Downhill Race Track”; other skiing areas can easily be reached by train and bus.
